Gillette Fusion Event with Bloggers - Quantum of Solace Movie Outing
Recently, I was invited by Estee (who I have worked with for the first season of the Geek Goddess Show and she is now working with Procter and Gamble Asia) to the Gillette Fusion Event with bloggers over the weekend. One of the interesting treats to this bloggers' event was watching the new James Bond movie "Quantum of Solace" in Golden Village Gold Class @ Vivocity. Of course, the movie was preceded by an interesting gathering in Serenity restaurant @ Vivocity. I met up some old friends, Farneilli (Tech65), Ming (Nuffnang), Nadia and Sheylara in this meeting. Of course, I will talk about what transpired and also my review of the latest James Bond movie.
Upon arrival to the Serenity @ Vivocity, I was greeted by Estee with a nice goodie bag. that contains a beautiful envelope with the "Golden Village: Gold Class" ticket, a Gillette Fusion Power shaver and hydra gel. After that, for the next hour, the invited bloggers were treated to a buffet lunch in the restaurant. I sat with Nadia, Aloysious & Farneilli. In the process, Estee is taking the polaroid camera with Fuji film and started snapping pictures, while some of the executives from P&G mingle with the bloggers. I met up with Anthony (Associate Director, External Relations, ASEAN) and Edwin (Public Affairs Manager - Malaysia/Singapore) in the event, and have some interesting conversations about some of the brand management work that they have worked with. Being involved in teaching entrepreneurship in the university, the case study of P&G as a successful brand management company comes to mind.
After the networking, we are treated to the new James Bond movie, "Quantum of Solace" in Gold Class GV @ Vivocity. If you have watched Casino Royale, the start of this movie immediately follows from the last movie. In this movie, James Bond trailed the secret organization Quantum who has caused the murder of his love, Vesper from the previous movie "Casino Royale". In the process, he was caught up in an about to be organized coup in Bolivia. However, as a Bond fan, I am disappointed without the high tech gadgets of Q and the flirting with Moneypenny in this movie. In fact, I would say that the action scenes of the movie followed quite closely to the Bourne series starred by Matt Damon. Sure, the action scenes are packed with excitement, it did not have a strong storyline, but if you have watched the last movie, you find that there is a certain kind of symmetry of events for James Bond. Definitely, there will be a sequel, reading from how the movie ended. In any case, watching the movie with a gold class ticket was an enjoyable experience.
Here are some of the pictures for the event:

On a last note, I thought I should help to spread the word for Gillette about the "Cash vs. Car Showdown" contest we're having:
One lucky person stands a chance to win either S$10,000 in cash or the Nissan 350Z Roadster worth S$167,500!
How to win: To participate in the Gillette Fusion “Car versus Cash Showdown” contest, simply purchase any Gillette Fusion Razor - Fusion Manual, Fusion Power or Fusion Phantom – from participating retail outlets, answer 3 questions in the form of True/False questions, complete the slogan and then mailing in the completed accompanying contest forms to enter. Hillary, yes, I liked the shaver given to me. Actually, I am considering switching to the Gillette Fusion Power now after I started using it. :)
